CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois women's basketball team will hold a youth basketball clinic prior to its Pink Out game against Creighton on February 11.

The clinic is part of the National Girls and Women in Sport Day. The Salukis invite girls in the eighth grade and below the opportunity to meet the SIU players and sharpen their basketball skills.

The clinic begins at 9 a.m. at SIU Arena and includes different drills that teach basketball skills and fundamentals. The clinic will conclude with a NGWSD activity led by the SIU Sport Studies Association.

The cost of the clinic is $3 per participant, which includes admission to the 2:05 p.m. game against the Bluejays. Participants attending the game are encouraged to wear pink to raise breast cancer awareness.
