2012-13 (Junior): Ranked 16th in the conference in scoring average (79.9)...Second on the team with two par or better rounds...Posted one top-five finish and four top-10 finishes...Competed in all 12 tournaments...Led the team in three tournaments...Posted the low round on the team with a 71...Posted 15 rounds in the 70s.
2011-12 (Sophomore): Played in all 26 rounds on the season...Finished a season-best 12th of 82 golfers at the Creighton Classic...Placed 20th at the MVC Championships...Posted a 81.6 scoring average...Earned NGCA All-Scholar Team honors...Hit a hole-in-one during a team qualifier at Dalhousie Golf Course in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Aced the par 3, 152 yard hole No. 8 with an 8-iron.
2010-11 (Freshman): Played in all 10 tournaments for the Salukis in her first season....posted her first top five finish at the Saluki Invitational where she tied with twin sister Cassie for fourth place overall leading the Salukis to their first tournament title since 2008...averaged a 81.1 over 25 rounds...led the Salukis at the Cardinal Classic (9/28) with a 7th place finish where she shot her season low round of 73...finished tied for 45th at the MVC Championships...named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team with her 3.5 GPA.
Pre-SIU: Attended Marion High School where she competed at the State meet all four years including a state championship her junior season.... named The Southern Illinoisan Co-Player of the Year with twin sister Cassie in 2009...helped her high school finish fifth at the state tournament...placed seventh at the state tournament as a senior where she shot a 75-76...finished All Conference each of her four years...holds a school record for 9 holes (30 on a par 36).
Personal: Full name is Ashleigh Brooke Rushing...twin sister of Cassie Rushing...majoring in elementary education...born Feb. 25, 1992 in St. Louis, Mo....daughter of Darron and Carol Rushing...also has a brother and sister who are also twins.
