    Day Two Results

    TEMPE, Ariz - The SIU women's golf team dropped four places to 15th on day two of the Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan University.

    The Salukis were led by Alisha Matthews, who shot the team's low round of 79 on the day while Margaret Gilley tops the team's leader board in a tie for 39th, with a combined score of 159.

    "It was a disappointing day and everyone had troubles but we are looking forward to righting the ship tomorrow," Head coach Diane Daugherty said.

    Cassie Rushing came in with an 81 as she tied Matthews with an combined two day score of 160, which was best for a tie for 48th.

    Ashleigh Rushing added an 82 and overall score of 161, which was a tie for 52nd, and Shaina Rennegarbe sits in a tie for 78nd with an overall score of 170.

    The Salukis will wrap up play as tee times begin at 8 a.m. PT tomorrow.
