    FISHERS, Ind. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team sits in 15th place after one round of play at the MAC Preview hosted by the University of Toledo. The Salukis posted a team score of 332, finishing two strokes ahead of Bowling Green State.

    Ball State led the 16-team field with a combined score of 313. The University of Akron sits in second place just ahead of Western Michigan while Missouri Valley Conference rival Bradley and Eastern Michigan round out the top five.

    Sophomore Alisha Matthews birdied the third and fourth holes, recording a team-low 77 on the day to tie for 10th place. Matthews leads SIU while Jenna Dombroski sits just behind after shooting an 81 on the first 18 holes. Meg Gilley posted an 85 and Alex Anderson carded a 89. Freshman Amber Phillips rounded out the Saluki lineup turning in a 91.

    Darkness set in, halting the completion of the second round, which will resume tomorrow morning followed by the third round of play at the par 72, 6,114 yard Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, Ind.
