ST. LOUIS - Shaina Rennegarbe earned Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors, the conference announced Wednesday. Rennegarbe finished second overall at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate this past week.

Rennegarbe's second-place finish was the best of her Saluki career, and her two-round score (150) was her best in more than two years. She was in the top-10 individuals in the tournament in par-3, par-4 and par-5 scoring. Rennegarbe posted the tournaments best second-round score.

Rennebarbe has finished in the top 15 in all three of Southern Illinois' three spring tournaments. She posted her seventh top-10 finish of her career and second of the season.

The Addieville, Ill., native is the third Saluki of the year to earn a MVC Golfer of the Week nod. Amy Lee and Cassie Rushing each earned the honor after winning tournaments in the fall season.

The Salukis are back in action on Sunday and Monday, hosting the Saluki Invitational. The tournament is set to start at 10 a.m. each day with a shotgun start at Hickory Ridge.
