The tournament will start at 10 a.m. both days with a shotgun start. The Salukis swept the team and individual title at last year's Saluki Invitational, with Cassie Rushing earning the individual title.

Southern is the two-time defending Saluki Invitational champion and has won more Saluki Invite titles than any other team with six. Southern also has the most individual champions at the tournament with six, including three in the last five years.

Last year, Cassie Rushing earned the first tournament title of her career with a two-round total of 146. Her tournament score tied for the fifth-lowest score in school history. Rushing led the tournament in pars with 28 and par-5 scoring at last year's invitational.

Shaina Rennegarbe returns to the Saluki Invitational after tying for fifth at last year's tournament. Rennegarbe, the most recent Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, has finished among the top 15 in all three of SIU's spring tournaments this year. Ashleigh Rushing also returns after competing at last year's Saluki Invitational. Rushing tied for 19th competing as an individual.
