MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Saluki women's golf signee Brooke Cusumano was part of the Missouri squad that won the Junior Girls Four State Championship cup on Tuesday.

The Four State Junior Girls Championship is composed of golf teams from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri. Scores are totaled each day, and the lowest two-day team score is declared the winner.

The Missouri team demolished the competition, winning by 38 strokes with a two-day total of 614. Cusumano, a native of St. Louis who is coming to Carbondale this fall, was tied for the second-lowest overall score of 151 -- one stroke shy of tournament medalist and teammate Jordan Chael, a 2013 signee of the University of Nebraska.

A 2013 graduate of Westminster Christian Academy, Cusumano will come to Carbondale with two individual Missouri state titles and two team titles as well -- all of which were won her junior and senior seasons. Cusumano was also honored as the 2013 St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro Golfer of the Year. This is the second-straight year she has been part of the Missouri Four State team.
