    CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki women's golf head coach Alexis Mihelich has announced the addition of one more student-athlete for her 2013-14 roster, walk-on Savannah Myers from Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Ill.

    Myers, who intends to major in fashion design and merchandising, is a 10-time varsity letterman (four years golf and soccer, two years volleyball), four-time golf team captain and MVP, a three-time sectional qualifier, a 2012 Illinois Scholar-Athlete, a 2012 IHSA State Qualifier and a 2012 Big 12 Conference medalist at the conference meet. Outside of scholastic play, Myers is a two-time Decatur City Junior Open Champion (2009-10) and finished fifth in the Decatur Women's City Tournament in 2012.

    "Savannah is excited to become a Saluki," Mihelich said. "She is a dedicated and committed player. Her positive energy and personality will add to the team chemistry. I am looking forward to her progress and development over her career.

    Myers will join fellow 2013-14 newcomers Brooke Cusumano (St. Louis, Mo./Westminster Christian) and Kristie Yang (Chino, Calif./Diamond Bar HS), who are both signees.
