BOONVILLE, Ind. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team will close the fall season at the Charles Braun, Jr., Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29-30. The tournament will take place at the Quail Crossing Golf Club and is hosted by the University of Evansville.
The 13-team field includes Missouri Valley Conference foes Evansville, Creighton, Northern Iowa and Indiana State. The tournament will consist of 18 holes each day, beginning with a 10 a.m. CT shotgun start each day.
The Salukis are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Blue Raider Invitational. Cassie Rushing won the individual title at the tournament for her second career win. Rushing earned an MVC Golfer of the Week nod for her performance. Head coach Alexis Mihelich has guided SIU golfers to individual tournament wins in seven of the 16 tournaments she has coached as SIU.
