Softball begins practice for 2012 season

Salukis return its top five hitters from 2011, including Mallory Duran-Sellers who led the team with a .398 batting average.

Appeared in 42 games, starting 13....held a .147 batting average with a double, triple, and five RBI...primarily saw action as a pinch runner...had seven stolen bases...had a season high two RBI against Indiana State on Apr. 17.

2010/ Freshman
Played in 31 games, starting 22...posted a .163 batting average with seven hits and three RBI.

Piasa Southwestern
Earned All-Conference and All-State honors all four years...named to the Alton Telegraph All-Area and St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Area teams...helped her team to a top-five state finish as a freshman, junior and senior...helped to earn a Sweet Sixteen appearance as a sophomore...batted .400 as a senior with 25 runs scored, five doubles, three triples, two home runs, 26 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
