CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki softball team (27-23, 12-8 MVC), having won three out of their last four games, concludes the regular season with a three-game series at Bradley this weekend in Peoria, Ill.

The final series will feature a doubleheader on Saturday, May 3 beginning at 12 p.m., and wrap-up with a single game on Sunday at noon from

Southern Illinois stands in third place in the Missouri Valley Conference, and is coming off a doubleheader split against Illinois this past Wednesday, while Bradley enters the weekend series with a two-game losing streak after dropping the last two games against Evansville last weekend.

SIU leads the all-time series with the Braves, 42-22, yet fell 5-3 in a designated non-conference game earlier this season to Bradley at home on March 2 during the Coach B Southern Classic. Not including the non-conference loss, the Salukis have won 10 straight league games versus BU, and 14 of its last 15.

Southern Illinois has also not lost in Peoria since 2000, after sweeping the series in its last two trips in 2002 and 2004.

The weekend match-ups around the league will dictate the seeding for the MVC Tournament held next May 8-10 in Carbondale, Ill at Charlotte West Stadium. SIU, which currently holds the No. 3 seed, could finish anywhere between No. 2 and No. 6 following the weekend set at Bradley.

All three games can be heard live online through an internet-only webcast by Patrick Erickson, and can be accessed by visiting the Saluki softball Web page at
