ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Saluki swimmer Nora Bunford was named Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Bunford, a sophomore from Budapest, Hungary, powered the Saluki women to a 149-94 victory over Drury with two individual event titles in the 13-event dual meet Nov. 13.

She won the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.56 and finished first in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:22.55.

Bunford also swam the second leg of the 400-yard medley relay (3:58.56) that finished first. She currently sits atop the MVC Best List in two of five events this season, including the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.30) and 400-yard IM (4:33.95).

This is the third time in Bunford's career at SIU she has received the conference award and the second time this season. She garnered the MVC honor Oct. 28 for her efforts against Nebraska.
