    Saluki women’s tennis earns ITA All-Academic recognition

    Five Salukis were named ITA Scholar Athletes for achieving at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the 2014-15 academic year.


    Saluki Women's Tennis: 2015 Season in Review

    The SIU women's tennis team finished the season in fourth place in the Missouri Valley Conference.


    SIU falls to Wichita State, 4-0, in the MVC semifinals

    The Salukis finished the season with a 16-10 record overall and 5-4 in the MVC.


    SIU tops Evansville, 4-2, to advance to semifinals at the MVC Championships

    The Salukis' three seniors clinched three of SIU's four wins at the No. 1, 5 and 6 singles spots.


    Saluki tennis players earn All-Conference, Scholar-Athlete recognition

    Ariadna Cairo Baza and Yana Golovkina earned All-Conference recognition for No. 3 doubles.

    2014-15: Finished the season with a 16-11 singles record, going 10-4 in dual matches primarily at the No. 6 position…Won as many as seven consecutive singles matches…Had an overall 6-10 record in doubles…Went undefeated in doubles in dual matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions… Contributed to SIU's record-breaking 12-match win streak, the longest in Saluki history…Selected as an MVC-Scholar Athlete…Earned the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award…Named to the MVC Honor Roll.

    2013-14: Named Honorable Mention MVC Scholar-Athlete...Played in every match during the season...Went 16-12 in singles while posting a 5-1 MVC record...Finished the season winning seven of her last ten matches...Finished 3-4 in doubles.

    2012-13: Played in 16 singles matches during the year, winning 14...Won her last 11 matches of the season from Nov. 2, 2012 to Apr. 14, 2013...Went 7-0 in the fall season and 7-2 in the spring...Finished 2-0 in the MVC in singles play...Played primarily at the No. 6 position.

    2011-12: Competed in 23 singles matches, finishing 14-9 in singles play...2-2 in MVC singles play...Finished 7-3 in doubles play...Won five straight matches from Sep. 10, 2011 to Oct. 9, 2011...First collegiate win came on Sep. 10, 2011 against Madeline Jolly of Saint Louis in a 9-7 singles victory.
