    Saluki women’s tennis earns ITA All-Academic recognition

    Five Salukis were named ITA Scholar Athletes for achieving at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the 2014-15 academic year.


    Saluki Women's Tennis: 2015 Season in Review

    The SIU women's tennis team finished the season in fourth place in the Missouri Valley Conference.


    SIU falls to Wichita State, 4-0, in the MVC semifinals

    The Salukis finished the season with a 16-10 record overall and 5-4 in the MVC.


    SIU tops Evansville, 4-2, to advance to semifinals at the MVC Championships

    The Salukis' three seniors clinched three of SIU's four wins at the No. 1, 5 and 6 singles spots.


    Saluki tennis players earn All-Conference, Scholar-Athlete recognition

    Ariadna Cairo Baza and Yana Golovkina earned All-Conference recognition for No. 3 doubles.

    2014-15: Finished with a 21-17 singles record, primarily at the No. 2 singles spot, earning the most singles wins on team in 2015...Played at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots with a combined 20-12 record...Went 13-12 in singles and 4-4 in doubles against MVC opponents....Advanced the farthest for the Salukis at the ITA Central Regional Championships with two wins in the singles qualifying round to advance to the main draw...Contributed to SIU's record-breaking 12-match win streak, the longest in Saluki history...Earned MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention recognition.

    2013-14: Went 16-16 in singles play...4-2 in MVC...First collegiate win came against Kelly Iden of Eastern Illinois in an 8-4 win...Went 15-13 in doubles action, primarily with partner Natasha Tomishima.

    Prior to SIU: Recorded a 26-1 record at Denver South High School...Won the 4A Colorado State Championship as a sophomore.
