    Saluki women’s tennis earns ITA All-Academic recognition

    Five Salukis were named ITA Scholar Athletes for achieving at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the 2014-15 academic year.

    Four of SIU's five wins against the Redbirds came from the Salukis' seniors on Senior Day.

    2014-15: In her sophomore season she finished with a 3-5 record, playing from the teams No. 3, 4, and 5 spots...Went 11-12 in doubles competition representing the team in the No. 1 and 2 spots...Dozortseva finished with an overall record of 4-3 in doubles conference play...Contributed to SIU's record-breaking 12-match win streak, the longest in Saluki history...Earned MVC Scholar-Athlete honors posting a 3.94 GPA...Represented SIU in 2015 ITA All-American team...

    2013-14: Finished the season 15-18 in singles play...Went 2-4 in MVC...First collegiate win came against Rocjin Tatum in a 6-3, 6-4 singles win...A doubles record of 20-12, primarily with partner Ariadna Cairo Baza...Went 5-1 in conference in doubles.

    Prior to SIU: Finalist in several Russian Federation tournaments...Competed in the Adult National Russian Championship, defeating the No. 276 ITF junior in the world.
