2012-13: Recorded 17 wins and 10 losses in her final year at Southern...Went 5-5 in the fall and 12-5 in the spring while finishing with a 4-2 MVC singles record...Led the team in doubles wins with a 31-7 record primarily with partner Melanie Delsart...Went 14-2 in the fall and 17-5 in the spring...Finished 5-2 in MVC play...Named First Team MVC Scholar-Athlete.
2011-12: Played in 17 singles matches, finishing with a 14-3 record...Finished the year with an 18-9 doubles record primarily with partner Anita Lee...3-3 in MVC doubles.
2010-11: Finished the year with a 6-17 record...Played in mostly the No. 5 slot...Recorded a 2-5 MVC singles record...Played in only three doubles matches, finishing 0-3 and 0-2 in MVC doubles play.
2009-10: Spent most of season playing doubles where she racked up a combined 8-14 record while splitting time with Vishakha Sheoran and Michela Cruise...Finished with a 6-3 record while paired with Cruise, including winning four straight from April 7 through April 17...Went 3-5 in limited singles action...Won last two matches of the season, defeating New Orleans' Sofija Karalic by retirement on March 12 and SEMO's Sarah Pettigrew 6-0, 6-0 on March 24...First collegiate singles win came on Feb. 14 with a victory against SIU-Edwardsville's Amanda Miller 6-1, 6-1.
High School:Ranked as high as No. 346 among International Tennis Federation juniors...Also ranked No. 2 in the South African U16 division and No. 8 in U18...In 2007, Simons was a member of South Africa's Junior Federation Cup team...Won a gold medal in singles play at the Zone 6 Under 20 Youth Games in 2008...Represented South Africa at the Youth Commonwealth Games and was part of the Club Championships team that finished second overall...Was a member of the Full Colours national team for two seasons.
