MIAMI, Fla. -- After a two week break in action the Southern Illinois women's tennis team secured a 4-3 win against Florida International earlier today, extending its winning streak to seven matches.

Southern (7-1) took the doubles point by sweeping the Panthers (2-9). Melanie Delsart and Anastacia Simons won at the No. 1 spot, 8-3, extending their winning streak to seven. Jennifer Dien and Natasha Tomishima won, 8-3, at the No. 2 spot while Korey Love and Anita Lee won in flight No. 3.

"I'm proud of the girls, especially since this was our first match outside this year," said head coach Audra Nothwehr. "We played pretty solid, especially in doubles."
