CARBONDALE, Ill. --The Southern Illinois women's tennis team played host to Bradley (8-12, 0-3 MVC) at University Courts earlier today, sweeping the Braves, 7-0.

The Salukis (13-3, 3-0 MVC) handled the Braves easily as no match went past two sets. Melanie Delsart picked up her third straight win by besting Adele Henke (6-1, 6-0) at flight No. 1. Natasha Tomishima won (6-2, 6-3) and Anita Lee defeated her BU counterpart (6-2, 6-3) at No. 3.

Jennifer Dien improves to 12-3 in the spring with a (6-3, 6-2) win at flight No. 4 while Ariadna Cairo Baza won in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) against Elizabe Przystawski.

Gisela Cairo Baza picked up her team-high 11th straight win today, besting Kennedy Scott (6-2, 6-2) at the No. 6 spot.

"Our goal was to move with intensity to each ball so we could stay aggressive and in control and we did," said head coach Audra Nothwehr. "I'm really proud of the team today."

The Salukis had no problems in doubles play as Korey Love and Lee won 8-2 at the No. 3 spot to pick up their 11th straight win. Tomishima and Dien won 8-5 at No. 2 while Delsart and Simons blanked their BU counterparts 8-0.

The Salukis will close out their three-match homestand on Tuesday when they play host to Saint Louis for a 3 p.m. match at University Courts.
