    CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Saluki women's tennis head coach Audra Anderson announced the the addition of Polina Dozortseva to round out the 2013-14 roster.

    Dozortseva, an incoming freshman from Moscow, Russia has been a finalist in several National Russian Federation tournaments while ranking as high as 1321.

    Most recently Dozortseva made the semifinals in the Adult National Russian Championship, defeating the No. 276 ITF ranked junior in the world.

    “Polina is a very powerful player. She moves well and uses her legs extremely well in her shots," said Anderson. "She will be a huge asset to our roster this coming fall."

    Dozortseva will join a Saluki team that won a program-high 19 wins last season while finishing in second place in the Missouri Valley.
