    Fri., Nov. 3 vs. Creighton (13-8, 7-5 in MVC) - 7 p.m.
    Sat., Nov. 4 vs. Drake (5-18, 3-9 in MVC) - 7:30 p.m.

    SIU Volleyball Notes:

  • Jenny Noel led the Salukis matches against Wichita State, SW Missouri State, and Arkansas with 30 kills, 19 digs, 6 block assists, 2 solo blocks, and one service ace. Noel averaged 10 kills, 6.3 digs, and 2 block assists per match. She hit .353 (9 kills, 3 errors, 17 attempts) against Wichita State with 12 digs.

  • Megan Baumstark had 85 assists and 17 digs in the three matches. She averaged 28.3 assists and 5.6 digs. Baumstark had a double-double performance (24 assists, 10 digs) against Wichita State. Kristie Kemner had a 10 kill, 9 dig against Arkansas and Qiana Nelson added 10 kills in the Arkansas match.

  • The Salukis host Creighton and Drake, hoping to snap their eight game MVC and nine game overall losing streak. SIU's lone conference win this season was against the Shockers on September 30. The Salukis haven't won a match since that contest.

  • Southern Illinois is 7-6 all-time against Creighton and 19-9 all-time against Drake. The Salukis were swept by both teams earlier in 2000.

  • As a team, the Salukis are sixth in block average (2.25 per game) and aces (1.47 per game) in all matches.

  • In overall matches, Kristie Kemner is fourth in aces (.49 per game) and sixth (3.6 per game) in kill average. Megan Baumstark sits sixth (9.55 per game) in assists and Tara Cains is ninth (.277) in hitting percentage.

  • In Missouri Valley Conference play, Megan Baumstark ranks sixth (10.0 per game) in assists. Kristie Kemner is seventh (3.5 per game) in kill average.

  • Kristie Kemner leads the Salukis in kills (284), kills per game (3.59), digs (214), digs per game (2.71), total attacks (719), service aces (37), and aces per game (.47). Jenny Noel leads SIU in block assists (72), total blocks (89), blocks per game (1.06) and is tied with Lindsey Schultz for the lead in solo blocks (17). Megan Baumstark is the top Saluki in assists (793), and assists per game (9.67). Tara Cains leads SIU in hitting percentage (.277).

  • The Salukis will host Creighton on Friday, November 3, at 7 p.m., and Drake on Saturday, November 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Davies Gym.
