    ST. LOUIS-- Southern Illinois University volleyball player Hannah Kaminsky has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday.

    Kaminsky earns the honor for the second consecutive week after helping the Salukis to a 3-1 victory over Evansville on Friday night. With the win Southern Illinois extended its win streak to four matches.

    The Woodridge, Ill. native paced the SIU offense on Friday recording her ninth double-double of the season compiling 15 digs and 51 assists in four sets of the play. The setter also knocked in four kills.

    Kaminsky currently ranks fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference in assists averaging 10.24 per set, and ranks sixth in service aces with 67 tallied this season.

    This is the third time this season Kaminsky has received conference recognition.
