Saluki women's tennis drops tough match to Drake 4-3

Carbondale, Ill.- The Southern Illinois women's tennis team dropped a tough match to the Drake Bulldogs 4-3.
The Salukis were down 1-0 going into doubles play and a come from behind win at No. 5 singles helped the Bulldogs snap the Salukis six game win streak.
Fadzai Mawisire dropped her first match of her SIU career as she lost to Veronika leszayova 6-1, 7-6(0).
Head coach Audra Nothwehr said because Mawisire had not played for a week, it was tough for her to back in the swing of things and overall couldn't finish the match.
"It came down to one last match and we couldn't put it away," Nothwehr said.
The Salukis will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa to face the Northern Iowa Panthers beginning at 10 a.m.
