Soccer’s Nadda Called Up By Egyptian National Team

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois soccer player Dana Nadda has been called up by the Egyptian national team ahead of the Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Nadda, a native of Cairo, just completed her first season as a Saluki after transferring from Fairfield. In her debut season at Southern, the junior tied for the team lead in goals with six while also dishing out three assists, with her 15 total points ranking second among Salukis. For her efforts, Nadda was named to the All-MVC Second Team.

The Egyptian national team has chosen Nadda participate during their team camp in Egypt ahead of WAFCON, which takes place this year in Morocco from March 17-April 3.
