The Saluki Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's (SAAC) first-ever Lip Sync Battle was a resounding success, as the Salukis raised $1,447.31 for the Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale.
Seven teams competed in the karaoke-style event Wednesday, April 5. Teams of student-athletes performed choreographed acts that were scored by a panel of celebrity judges for creativity, crowd enthusiasm and originality. The Saluki men's track and field team, represented by Austin Weigle and Chris Edwards, took home top honors with their rendition of "That's What I Like" by Bruno Mars.

The Saluki men's and women's swimming and diving team earned runner-up honors with their performance of "Breaking Free" from High School Musical while the Saluki women's track and field team took third with their version of "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls.
