Saluki Spirit Teams
CHEER-DANCE-MASCOTS
The goal of the Saluki Spirit Teams is to enhance the overall experience of the campus community by performing at sporting events, serving as ambassadors for the university, and being role models of service, scholarship, and leadership.
The spirit program consists of three groups including cheerleaders, dancers, and mascots who add to the energetic and positive atmosphere at all SIU’s home football and basketball games by engaging the crowd and cheering on the Salukis.
Spirit team members also make numerous appearances across campus and throughout Southern Illinois. Make a request for your upcoming event, by completing the spirit groups appearance request form.
Current and future SIU students interested in becoming a part of the spirit program should complete the recruit questionnaire form.
