Women's Golf in 16th after day two of Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. - The Southern Illinois University women's golf team remains in 16th place after two days of competition at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational.
The Salukis posted a team total of 313 on day two to bring their tournament score to 626.
Kelly Gerlach once again led the Salukis with a 77 on the day. Gerlach currently sits in a tie for 26th with her total of 153 (76-77).
Christine Zoerlein was SIU's second finisher with a 78 on the day, bringing her total to 157 for the tournament and placing her in a tie for 52nd.
Braidy Hood (t67th, 81-78--159) and Lauren May (t82nd, 82-80--173) were SIU's other two scorers in the play six, count four tournament.
Kate Laegeler (t100th, 85-88--173) and Lindsay Phillips (t106th, 92-90--182) also competed for SIU at the tournament today.
The Salukis will wrap up competition at the Rio Verde Invitational tomorrow when round three begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
